I was far slimmer when my cancer was getting started and advancing. By the time it was diagnosed I was heavier because I was too ill to be active while searching for 18 months for a diagnosis. Surgery & chemotherapy added to the lack of ability to be active. So I want them to go back through their records and find out if the persons they are looking at were only overweight 'after the event'. b. Also, where is their proof? Are there more people with diagnosed cancer overweight than in the general population? I've seen lots of reports about how many are overweight in the general populaton, but no correlation. c. Have you seen/heard recent reports that the figures upon which people are being called obese are a load of unrealistic nonsense? e.g. they're calling children overweight who have not yet approached puberty, after which they grow into the puppy-fat which was the reason for much of the weight in childhood. And how dare they make our children feel bad about themselves? d. I'm not suggesting there are not more overweight people around than there were when I was young, many more, nor am I suggeting this is not a problem. But let's be sure where our advice is coming from and how well it has been researched. Also who funded the research. It could be companies who sell weight loss products!
